This 4 week class will be tailored to the individual child and their abilities. We will explore art by observing nature that flies. Students will choose subject matter that may include birds, insects, raptors, waterfowl among other winged creatures. During weeks 1 + 2 students will select images or use the image from the first session and explore various ways to create prints such as crayon rubbing, styrofoam, gadget and nature prints. Weeks 3 & 4 will include using their reference photos to observe and explore various ways to create textures through lines and repetitive shapes. Mediums will included scratchboard and sun prints with weather and time permitting. Students are strongly encouraged to develop and express their own personal style.

The theme of projects this session will be OBSERVING WINGED CREATURES with subject matter including birds, insects, raptors, waterfowl and other winged creatures.
Advanced students may work on selected subjects.

Students are asked to bring a sample of their own artwork to the first class.
