Cancellation Policy

  • BOXED AND BURLAP makes a substantial investment when planning a art classes and art experiences, and vacancies can be hard to fill even with a waiting list. While we understand that circumstances may arise causing a change in your plans, we must adhere to a business policy. If you need to cancel your registration, BOXED AND BURLAP must be notified by email at boxedandburlapartstudio@gmail.com, and the following policies apply:

    • 21 days or more prior to a workshop: Full refund of tuition per person, less a $100 cancellation fee for multi-day adult (ages 15 +) classes, $15 fee for single-day adult art experiences, or $25 cancellation fee for children/youth (ages 6-17) art classes.

    • 20 days or less prior to a workshop: No refunds of any amount.

  • Cancellation fees reflect the cost of registration, staff, instructor contracts, material acquisitions, and other services. This policy applies to all registrants, regardless of the reason for canceling.

  • For your protection, and should an unforeseen personal emergency arise, we HIGHLY recommend the purchase of trip insurance. Some credit cards, auto clubs, travel services, or online companies offer travel insurance for non-refundable expenses.
BOXED AND BURLAP does not facilitate the sale or acquisition of any such insurance.

  • If you drop out of a class once it has started, there are no refunds for any amount.

  • All classes must be paid in full at time of registration. If a class is multiple days, this means you have paid for all days the class meets. Choosing select days of a class and requesting a prorated amount to reflect those days is not an option.

  • Missing a class for any reason does not warrant a refund of any amount.

Transfers

  • Students may transfer from one workshop to another, space permitting, 35 days or more prior to the workshop for which they are currently registered. A $25 transfer fee for adult classes (including classes ages 15 +) and a $15 transfer fee for children and teen classes (ages 6 - 17) will apply.

  • Registrations are not transferable to another person.

Waiting Lists

  • When a workshop fills, we start a waiting list. There is no charge to be on a waiting list. If space becomes available, we will contact the first person on the list. That person has 24 hours to register before we move on to the next.

  • If a class sells out a link to get on the waitlist will appear on the class registration page will appear within 2 days of the class selling out.

If BOXED AND BURLAP Cancels a Workshop

  • Occasionally, BOXED AND BURLAP must cancel a workshop due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If we do, we will notify you as soon as possible. You may register for another workshop (based on availability) or receive a full refund of tuition paid. Notification of cancellation will normally occur 5-7 DAYS prior to the beginning of the class, in rare cases, especially during this first launch of art class and during our winter programming, it may be less.
