Q: What was this building used for before Boxed and Burlap came in?
A: Years ago it was a Shultz Bros 5 &10 store, after that it was an antique mall. Then it sat vacant for approximately 10 years.



Q: What will the hours of the coffee shop be?
A: Currently: Sunday - Thursday 6am - 3pm
Friday + Saturday 6am - 9pm


Q: What’s all here at this location?
A: Coffee, coffee roasting, food, art classes, the mock bar and space for lease in the lower level.



Q:  Will your other location at 2935 State Rd 67 in Delavan remain open?
A: Yes



Q: What type of food will you offer?
A: For breakfast:  Bakery items, breakfast sandwiches + avocado toast.
For lunch: sandwiches, salads, wraps and soup. Lunch will run until 3pm Sunday - Thursday and until 8:30pm Friday + Saturday

Q: Will you host weddings here?
A: We do not have definite answer on that but there may be an option for renting the lower level for events up to 100 people.

Q: What does it cost to lease the lower level?

Q: Are animals/pets allowed inside this location?
A: No, only service animals are allowed.



Q: What is all in the lower level?  What is happening downstairs?
A: The lower level includes:

-The Roasting Room (where we roast our own coffee)

-The Board Room (a room included in the lease of the lower level for small private events)

-Two Studios (these rooms may be leasable by the hour in the future) 



Q: What’s in the lower level where the painted floor is?  What is that space for?
A: We currently use this space to host ticketed events through Boxed and Burlap such as a variety of wine and bourbon events. This space is leasable to small private events up to 150 guests


Q: Is there a kid’s play area or children’s story time happening in the lower level?
A:  No there is no kid’s play area in the downtown building.  The lower level where you see the floor mural is part of the leasable space for private events.

Q: Who painted the mural on the floor in the lower level?
A: Anthony Lewellen


Q: What will happen in the art studio?
A: Art classes that will include: Pottery, Ceramics, as well as a variety of Drawing and Painting classes

Q:  Will you have art classes for a range of skill levels and ages, like any classes for kids?
A:  There will be a range of classes for adults at different skill levels.
here are also plans to offer some art classes for kids at different age ranges.

Q:  Will the art studio offer paint and sip classes or events?
A:  The art studio will not offer paint and sip classes but it has plans to offer single day or evening art experiences, including a beverage.

Q:  When will art classes begin?
A: Current art classes are posted on our Art Studio page on our website.

Q:  Will Lindsay Neighbors be teaching any of the art classes?
A:  Lindsay is not planning to teach at this time.  We do have several talented artists/art instructors ready to teach pottery, ceramics, drawing and painting.

A: Lindsay Neighbors

Q: Will Boxed and Burlap hold events at this location for the public?
A: Yes, there will be ticketed events for the public.  The events will include things like coffee cuppings, wine tastings and many other similar events.

Q: Can one of the spaces like the art studio be unlocked for me to work in or take pictures in?
A:  Unfortunately, those spaces cannot be unlocked for you.  You would need to have a paid lease and rental agreement for the Board Room (small event space) and/or the Studio work spaces on the lower level.  Additionally, at this time, we are not leasing out the art studio.

Q: Can I reserve or lease a space on the main level?
A:  No, the only spaces currently available to lease will be in the lower level. There are no spaces for lease on the main level and tables cannot be reserved on the main level.


Q: I heard you will have a Bourbon Bar or Speakeasy here?
A: I’m not sure about that, but there is a cigarette vending machine in the lower level.


Q: What is the bar by the art studio on the main level for?
A:  That bar is our Cocktail Bar it will serve a variety of crafted cocktails, mocktails, bourbon, tequila, Wisconsin craft beers, wine +  traditional beverages. This bar is currently open Friday 3p - 9p and Saturday noon - 9pm.
