Q. What type of classes will the art studio offer?

A. The art studio will have pottery, hand building ceramics, as well as a variety of two-dimensional classes including drawing and painting. As the studio evolves the range and variety in two-dimensional classes will more than likely grow.
Q. Do you have plans for any photography classes?
A. At this time we do not have plans to offer photography classes. However, that could eventually happen in the future.
Q. Do I have to be an experienced or skilled artist to take the art classes?
A. There will be a range of classes targeted for different skill levels. Please know that most classes will be welcoming and approachable for beginning artists.
Q. I’ve never really created art, but I am interested in trying a class.
Will there be classes for people like me?
Yes! We are excited at your interest in art and welcome you to try a class. Many classes will be geared for beginners.
Q. Will there be classes for kids?
A. There are plans to offer classes that would be suitable for a variety of ages including elementary, middle school, young adult and adult classes.
Q. What times of the day and what days of the week will you have art classes?
A. There will be a range of days and times that art classes will be offered.

Q. How long will any given art class be?
A. Currently, most classes are slated to be 4 weeks long and once or twice a week. But there are plans to offer a range in the future. Art Experience classes will be single day experiences starting at 2.5 hours in length.
Q. What will the cost of an art class be?
A. Pricing for classes will be available when we post the class descriptions on our website.
Q. Can I buy a gift card or certificate to give an art class as a gift to someone?
A. You can buy a gift card at either Boxed and Burlap location. This gift card will be good for coffee, food, apparel, other retail items and art classes. Gift cards purchase in store cannot be currently used on our website. If you wish to use a gift card to register for an art class please email boxedandburlapartstudio@gmail.com
The gift cards are not currently good for leasing event spaces or purchasing bar packages.
Q. Will you host paint and sip classes/events?
A. We do not have plans to host paint and sip classes. We do offer single day / afternoon / evening art experiences. Additionally, some of these experiences would include a choice of one beverage. The range of beverages to choose from would possibly include coffee, tea, beer, mock-tails, crafted cocktails, and/or wine. These art experience evenings would be great date nights for couples, a way to treat yourself or something fun to do with friends, family or significant others without the commitment of a six week long class.
Q. Will I be able to book/lease the art studio for a private event or private class?
A. As of now, we do not have plans to book/lease the art studio for private events. There is the possibility of booking a group class for an art experiences. We do not plan to lease the art studio out for events that are not related to art.
Q. Could I book/lease the art studio for something like a bachelorette party?
A. We do not have plans to book/lease the art studio for a bachelorette party or private events that are not related to art. There may be the possibility of booking group classes for one evening art experiences in the future that could work for groups such as bachelorette parties looking to have an evening out that includes an art experience.
Q. Can the Boxed and Burlap staff open the the art studio when it is closed so that I can take pictures, see it closer and/or work in there?
A. Unfortunately, we will not allow staff to give access to the art studio when it is closed. Also, we do not plan to allow people to use the studio for photo shoots or anything other than participating in classes and events hosted by Boxed and Burlap.
Q. Can I book/lease the art studio for a photo shoot?
A. No we do not plan to book or lease the art studio for photo shoots.

Q. Can I get on an email list to get notified first with information about the art studio, the art classes and when the classes will start?
A. Yes we will have a sign up link on our website soon. Follow our social media to be notified first when that link will be available. You could also check our website regularly.
Q. Will you plan to have art shows in the art studio?
A. We do not have any art shows on the schedule yet. There are thoughts of hosting art shows as things with the studio evolves. We picture transforming the front half of the gallery and taking out the easels and tables to host art show for single evenings here and there.
Q. Will you sell art work in your art studio or in your retail space?
A. There are plans to have a limited amount of artwork for sale in the future.
Q. Are you looking for artists to submit work to be shown and/or sold in the studio or retail space of your store?
A. At this time we are not actively looking for artists to submit work to be shown or sold in our space. When we begin looking for work we will have a form submission link on our website.
Q. I heard Lindsay Neighbors used to teach high school art. Will she be teaching the classes in the art studio?
A. Lindsay does not plan to teach any of the art classes at this time. We do already have several very talent individuals who are both artists and teachers lined up to teach the classes.
Q. Are you looking for art teachers to teach classes in the art studio?
